Abstract:
In the present invention, a spring constant for each of four suspension springs and shared load to each of four wheels are adjusted such that a spring resonant frequency (ωFr) corresponding to two front wheels (12FR, 12FL) and a spring resonant frequency (ωRr) corresponding to two rear wheels (12RR, 12RL) are different from each other. Only two (32RR, 32RL) of four shock absorbers (32) provided corresponding to the two wheels for which the spring resonant frequency is made lower out of the two front wheels (12FR, 12FL) and two rear wheels (12RR, 12RL) are provided with a damping coefficient changing mechanism that changes a damping coefficient which forms a standard for the magnitude of a damping force generated by the two shock absorbers. By controlling the damping force for the comparatively large operation of the spring upper part corresponding to these two wheels (12RR, 12RL), behavior of a vehicle as a whole can be effectively brought under control. In other words, a vehicle with improvements in both maneuverability/stability and ride quality can be constituted comparatively inexpensively.
