Abstract:
Disclosed is a vending machine for pets that facilitates communication between pets and their owners through allowing product purchases close to home, without having to visit facilities dedicated to the purpose. The vending machine for pets comprises money input slots (11) wherein the user makes payment by inserting money or money equivalents, including but not limited to coins, bills, or credit or debit cards, a payment amount verification unit (105) that identifies the amount of money or money equivalents that the user inserted via the money input slots (11), a pet sensor unit (19) that senses the presence of pets, a random number generator unit (103) that generates random numbers when the pet sensor unit (19) senses a pet, and a product provision unit (107) that displays the results of a drawing based on the random numbers generated by the random number generator unit (103) and provides products the quantity or type whereof correspond to the results of the drawing.
