Abstract:
A ventilation casing according to the present disclosure is provided with a casing and a ventilation assembly. The casing is provided with a cylindrical projection that projects and extends from the outer surface and has, at the inside, a first space through which the interior and the exterior of the casing are connected to each other. The ventilation assembly is provided with: an internal member that is a cylindrical body and that has openings at both end parts; a ventilation film that covers the opening at one of the end parts of the internal member; and an external member that is a bottomed cylindrical body and that is joined to the internal member in a state where the internal member is inserted from one end part side to the inside. The projection is inserted to the opening at the other end part of the internal member, and the inner peripheral surface of the internal member and the outer peripheral surface of the projection abut against each other, thus fixing to the projection. A second space serving as a ventilation path that connects the ventilation film and outside of the ventilation assembly is provided inside the internal member, inside the external member, and/or between both members. The ratio between an area S1 of a cross section of the first space and a total area S2min of the second space at a position where the total area obtained by summation per distance from the ventilation film is minimized, is 1.0 or more. The ratio between the area S1 and a total area S2out of a plane representing a cross section at a position where the second space becomes narrowest is more than 1.0. This ventilation casing has excellent moisture permeability between the interior and exterior of the casing.
