Abstract:
This vibration transmission body in which longitudinal vibrations of ultrasonic vibrations produced in an ultrasonic vibrator are transmitted along a center axis, has outer diameters at positions continuously adjacent to a supported section supported by a housing, such that the outer diameter at the tip side along the center axis is equal to or greater than the outer diameter at the base side. A position continuously adjacent to the tip side of the supported section along the center axis is used as a horn for amplifying the amplitude output from the tip of the vibration transmission body relative to the maximum amplitude at the antinode of the vibrations at the base side of the supported part when the longitudinal vibrations are transmitted.
