Abstract:
A vibration transmission device 1 for transmitting the vibration of an actuator 2 arranged below a tabular diaphragm 3 to the diaphragm via a vibration transmission unit 4. The actuator is provided with a flat plate part 21, a foot part 24 extending downward to a plurality of peripheral edges of the flat plate part, and a piezoelectric substance 22 bonded to at least one of the upper and lower surfaces of the flat plate part. The flat plate part and the foot part comprise an integral tabular conductor. The piezoelectric substance has an electrode 122 formed on one of the obverse surface and the reverse surface, with the other of the obverse surface and the reverse surface being bonded to the flat plate part. A piezoelectric element 23 is configured from the piezoelectric substance and the flat plate part. The piezoelectric element causes the flat plate part to bend and vibrate as the piezoelectric substance expands and contracts in the horizontal plane, with the foot part being deformed when a load is applied in the vertical direction to the flat plate part, and the bending motion of the flat plate part being converted to a rocking motion parallel to the horizontal plane.
