Abstract:
The present invention relates to a video camera having two or more cameras equipped therein to cover different illuminance levels. The present invention provides a video camera comprising a first camera, a second camera, an illuminance sensor for sensing the illuminance of ambient light or a subject, an interface unit for connecting with an external device, and a control unit for controlling so as to: capture a first camera image through the first camera; if the illuminance sensed by the illuminance sensor becomes equal to or lower than a first illuminance, perform a first camera operation switching so as to capture a second camera image through the second camera; if the illuminance sensed by the illuminance sensor becomes equal to or higher than a second illuminance, which is higher than the first illuminance, perform a second camera operation switching so as to capture a first camera image through the first camera; and transmit one of the captured first image and second image to the external device through the interface unit.
