Abstract:
Provided is a video creating method capable of ensuring the quality of video of a subject of interest while reducing the volume of video data. The video creating method of the present invention comprises: a preparation step for preparing an imaging device for reading pixel signals from a plurality of pixels of an imaging element and creating arbitrary video data using the pixel signals; a first recording step for reading the pixel signals from the plurality of pixels, creating a video of a first field angle at a first decimating rate, and recording first video data; and a second recording step which is performed together with the first recording step if the subject of interest is present within the first field angle, and in which a video including the subject of interest and having a second field angle less than the first field angle is created at a second decimating rate lower than the first decimating rate, and in which second video data is recorded.
