Abstract:
Disclosed by the present application are a video image encoding and decoding method and device, used to increase the compression efficiency of encoding and decoding. The method comprises: parsing partition mode information of coding tree nodes in a code stream; obtaining a partition mode for the coding tree nodes from a among a set of candidate partition modes for the coding tree nodes according to the partition mode information, and parsing the code stream to obtain coding information of the coding tree nodes; reconstructing the pixel values of the coding tree nodes according to the partition mode information and coding information of the coding tree nodes. With the present invention, coding tree nodes can be partitioned according to a partition mode in a set of candidate partition modes, thereby reducing partition levels and increasing the compression efficiency of coding and decoding.
