Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application provide a video image transmission method, a sending device, and a video call method and device. The video image above comprises a plurality of video frames. In the video image transmission method, the plurality of video frames are encoded to obtain an encoded code stream, the code stream at least comprising information representing an inter-frame reference relationship. In the present application, each of N frames preceding the current frame refers to a forward LTR frame closest to the present frame in terms of temporal distance, and the forward LTR frame above is an encoded video frame which is marked as an LTR frame by a sending end device, that is, in this embodiment, when the sending end device marks the LTR frame, there is no need to wait for feedback from a receiving end device, and therefore a plurality of LTR frames can be marked within one RTT, thereby greatly shortening a inter-frame reference distance, and improving the encoding quality of a video image.
