Abstract:
Provided is a video-monitoring support device 10 that supports setting in a new monitoring camera in a video-monitoring system that uses an identification device for detecting an object. The video-monitoring support device 10 comprises: an area acquisition unit 11 that acquires, from the video-monitoring system, information on an identification-device-applicable area set to the existing monitoring camera for detection of an object using the identification device; and an area setting unit 12 that sets, using the acquired information, the identification-device-applicable area of the new monitoring camera to the video-monitoring system.
