Abstract:
The present application discloses a video playback method, a terminal device, a server, a storage medium and a program product. The method comprises: after receiving a playback operation command comprising a fast forward operation command or a fast backward operation command, a terminal device acquires the playback time and an expected presentation timestamp of a current video picture according to the playback operation command; next, the terminal device determines fragment information according to the playback time, and sends the fragment information to a server; and then the server determines a target fragment corresponding to the fragment information, and sends the target fragment to the terminal device; finally, the terminal device obtains, from the target fragment, a plurality of key frames and frame presentation timestamps in one-to-one correspondence with the key frames, determines a target key frame from the plurality of key frames according to the expected presentation timestamp and the plurality of frame presentation timestamps, and sends the target key frame to a decoder for decoding and displaying.
