Abstract:
Provided in the embodiment of the present invention are a video playing method, a terminal device, a server and a storage medium. The method comprises: acquiring a plurality of pieces of playing speed description information respectively associated with a plurality of time intervals of a video; and according to the acquired playing speed description information associated with each time interval, playing a video segment corresponding to the time interval. In the embodiment of the present invention, a user can play a video segment corresponding to the associated time interval according to acquired playing speed description information, without carrying out an extra operation. By rationally setting playing speed description information about different time intervals, in the case where the video viewing experience of a user is not affected, the actual playing duration of each video can be shortened, so that more videos can be played within the same time period, the video playing efficiency of a video service party can be greatly improved, and the video viewing efficiency of the user can be greatly improved.
