Abstract:
A video processing apparatus (1) analyzes input video inputted from a video input unit (3), detects a plurality of moving bodies contained in the input video, determines a main moving-body and sub moving-bodies, and determines, upon displaying sub video over main video in superimposition with a picture-in-picture method, the positions of the sub pictures. This video processing apparatus (1) cuts out the main video and the sub video from the input video, composites the cut-out main video and sub video, and generates a picture-in-picture composited video that is the result of superimposing the sub video over the main video at the sub-picture positions, using the picture-in-picture method. Then the picture-in-picture composited video is outputted as one stream. Provided thereby is a video processing apparatus (1) that can be applied even to a single-window display system, and that can display multiple moving bodies without being subjected to restrictions about the number of screens, such as with multi-window displaying.
