Abstract:

Provided as a novel vinylidene fluoride polymer and applications thereof are the following: a binder composition obtained using the vinylidene fluoride polymer; an electrode mixture; an electrode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. The vinylidene fluoride polymer contains first constituent units derived from vinylidene fluoride and second constituent units derived from a monomer other than vinylidene fluoride. Here, a monomer that serves as the second constituent unit is a primary, secondary or tertiary amine having a hydroxyl group and/or a carboxyl group. The content of the second constituent unit is 0.05-20 mol% if the total amount of constituent units derived from all the monomers that constitute the vinylidene fluoride polymer is taken to be 100 mol%.
