Abstract:
A washing machine (1), capable of taking an appropriate countermeasure in a state of detecting that water is left between a drum (2) and an outer tub (3). The washing machine (1) comprises: the cylindrical drum (2) having a bottom configured to be rotatable around an axis; a motor (10) for performing rotation driving on the drum (2) by means of a driving shaft (17) protruding from the bottom of the drum (2); an acceleration sensor (12) for detecting acceleration of the drum (2); a spin acceleration determination unit (54) which determines, after a rotational speed of the drum (2) in a spin process reaches a specified rotational speed or above and in the case that an output difference obtained by subtracting an output of the motor (10) from an output of the acceleration sensor (12) is less than a first threshold, that the rotational speed of the drum cannot be increased; and a motor control unit (56) for controlling the motor (10) according to the determination made by the spin acceleration determination unit (54).
