Abstract:

Provided is a water- and oil-repellent composition which cuases little environment load and exhibits excellent water- and oil repellency and which can minimize the penetration of a coating fluid for forming a moisture-permeable waterproof film and the delamination of the moisture-permeable waterproof film. A water- and oil -repellent composition which comprises a copolymer (A) that comprises 40 to 95 mass% of units of a monomer (a1), 1 to 60 mass% of units of a monomer (a2) and 0 to less than 5 mass% of units of a monomer (a3), a copolymer (B) that comprises 40 to 91 mass% of units of a monomer (b1), 2 to 20 mass% of units of a monomer (b2), 5 to 20 mass% of units of a monomer (b3) and 2 to 20 mass% of units of vinyl chloride (b4), and a liquid medium (C), wherein: the monomers (a1) and (b1) are (Z-Y)nX [wherein Z is C1-6 polyfluoroalkyl or the like, Y is a fluorine-free divalent organic group or the like, n is 1 or 2, and X is a specific group having a polymerizable unsaturated group]; the monomers (a2) and (b2) are vinylidene chloride or vinylidene fluoride; and the monomers (a3) and (b3) are a (meth)acrylate bearing a saturated hydrocarbon group having 12 or more carbon atoms.
