Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of developing a technique for manufacturing a paper having moisture resistance and water resistance. The present invention provides a water-resistant paper formed by providing, on a paper substrate having a 120-sec Cobb absorptiveness of 5-25 g/m2 and a water repellency of at least R4 as defined in the paper-and-pulp test method No. 68, a coating layer that contains a waterproofing agent including a wax and at least one of a styrene resin, an acrylic resin, and a polyolefin resin.
