Abstract:
The present invention provides the following as a water-soluble film which is useful in a package which makes it possible to improve breakage resistance upon immersion in water in the case of a package molded by deep drawing, or in other words, prevent a chemical agent from leaking or dissolving too early, when packaging a chemical agent such as a liquid detergent. A polyvinyl alcohol-based water-soluble film in which a polyvinyl alcohol resin (A) is a main component, wherein said polyvinyl alcohol resin (A) contains a polyvinyl alcohol resin (a1) which is a main component of the component (A) and exhibits a viscosity as a 4 mass% aqueous solution at 20°C of 21 mPa·s or higher, and also contains a polyvinyl alcohol resin (a2) which satisfies formula (α) and formula (β) in its relationship with the component (a1). (α) The viscosity as a 4 mass% aqueous solution at 20°C of the polyvinyl alcohol resin (a2) is greater than the viscosity as a 4 mass% aqueous solution at 20°C of the polyvinyl alcohol resin (a1), and (β) the absolute value of the difference in the average degree of saponification between the polyvinyl alcohol resin (a1) and the polyvinyl alcohol resin (a2) is no more than 5 mol%.
