Abstract:
A waveguide lens (1). The waveguide lens (1) comprises a waveguide substrate (17), and a functional region, consisting of gratings, arranged on the surface of the waveguide substrate (17). The functional region comprises a coupling-in region (11) used for coupling image light into the waveguide substrate (17), a relay region (13) used for changing the direction of the image light transferred from the coupling-in region (11) and the waveguide substrate (17), and a coupling-out region (15) used for projecting the image light transferred from the relay region (13) and the waveguide substrate (17) into outer space of the waveguide lens. The relay region (13) comprises an intermediate transition region (131) used for transferring the image light transferred from the coupling-in region (11) and the waveguide substrate (17) to two sides and two side transition regions (132) distributed on the two sides of the intermediate transition region (131) and used for transferring the image light transferred from the intermediate transition region (131) to the coupling-out region (15). Augmented reality glasses comprising waveguide lenses (1). The structure above realizes symmetrical field of view expansion, makes up for the disadvantages of unidirectional field of view expansion, achieves the balance of polychromatic diffraction efficiency in an pupil exit range, and eliminates the chromatic aberration effect.
