Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a wheel bearing device (1) provided with an outer sealing member (7) in which: a core metal (8) having formed therein multiple seal lips (8c, 8d, 8e) is fitted to the outer opening (2c) of an outer ring (2); a metal ring (9) is fitted to the outer peripheral section of a hub ring (3) in such a manner as to oppose the core metal (8); the multiple seal lips (8c, 8d, 8e) are brought into contact with the metal ring (9), so that a portion between the outer ring (2) and the hub ring (3) is sealed, wherein an annular outer member side weir part (11f) that protrudes to the outer side, in a radial direction, as compared to the outer edge of the metal ring (9) so as to surround the metal ring (9) is provided to the core metal (8), and an outer member side expanded-diameter part (8g) that holds grease (gr) is formed in the inner peripheral surface of the outer member side weir part (8f). Thus, the present invention can suppress discharge and spattering out of lubricants applied on the seal lips (8c, 8d, 8e).
