Abstract:
The present invention is a method for producing an oxide catalyst that contains Mo, V, Sb and Nb, the method having a raw material mixing step of obtaining an aqueous mixed liquid that contains Mo, V, Sb and Nb, an ageing step of ageing the aqueous mixed liquid at a temperature higher than 30ºC, a drying step of drying the aqueous mixed liquid so as to obtain a dry powder, and a firing step of firing the dry powder so as to obtain the oxide catalyst, wherein in the raw material mixing step and/or the ageing step, precipitation of Nb is promoted by carrying out at least one operation selected from the group consisting of (I) to (III). According to the present invention, it is possible to obtain an oxide catalyst having a high unsaturated nitrile yield, and moreover, it is possible to produce the oxide catalyst in a relatively short time without the need to introduce complex steps or change equipment.
