Abstract:
A white light emitting device (11) according to the present invention is provided with: first light emitting units (17a-17d) to which a first electric current is supplied; and second light emitting units (17e-17h) to which a second electric current that is different from the first electric current is supplied. In cases where the first electric current is supplied to the first light emitting units (17a-17d) and the second electric current is supplied to the second light emitting units (17e-17h), the average emission chromaticity of the first light emitting units (17a-17d) and the average emission chromaticity of the second light emitting units (17e-17h) are of the same color; and in cases where a same electric current is supplied to both the first light emitting units (17a-17d) and the second light emitting units (17e-17h), the average emission chromaticity of the first light emitting units (17a-17d) and the average emission chromaticity of the second light emitting units (17e-17h) are not of the same color.
