Abstract:
A wide color gamut printing process and method, and a wide color gamut printing device, the printing process comprising: a pre-coating printing step of printing a pre-coating on the surface of a recording medium; a base printing step of printing a base image on the pre-coating; and a compensation printing step of printing a compensation image on the base image, the color gamut of the compensation image being different from that of the base image. Ink that has a different color gamut than ink used for printing with the base image is used to print the compensation image on the base image, so that a plurality of different color gamuts may be mixed, the printing of a wider color gamut is achieved, and the color effect and the visual quality of the images are improved.
