Abstract:

A wireless battery management system and a battery pack including the same are disclosed. The wireless battery management system comprises: a plurality of slave BMSs provided one-to-one to a plurality of battery modules and respectively including slave antennas; and a master BMS including a first master antenna and configured to wirelessly transmit, to the plurality of slave BMSs, a trigger signal for ID allocation to the plurality of slave BMSs. The respective slave BMSs generate response signals including temporary IDs pre-allocated to themselves in response to the trigger signal and wirelessly transmits the response signals to the master BMS. The master BMS receives the response signal from each of the plurality of slave BMSs through the first master antenna, and determines a regular ID to be allocated to each slave BMS, on the basis of the received signal strength of the response signal received through the first master antenna.
