Abstract:
The problem to be addressed by this disclosure is to provide a wiring instrument that can emit light on the basis of the distance to an object. A wiring instrument (1) comprises a ranging unit (4), a first light source (2), and a display panel (3). The ranging unit (4) measures the distance (41) to an object (8). The first light source (2) emits light on the basis of the distance (41) measured by the ranging unit (4). The display panel (3) is disposed to the front of the first light source (2). The display panel (3) has a transmissive part (31) that transmits the light emitted from the first light source (2) to the front. The proportion of area taken up by the transmissive part (31) with respect to the entire wiring tool (1), when the wiring tool (1) is viewed from the front, is 50% or greater.
