Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a work machine that is able to set a target trajectory and a target posture of a work tool appropriately in accordance with the excavation environment and the excavation subject during automatic excavation control. For that purpose, in this invention, a control device calculates a target trajectory, which passes through an excavation starting position where a control point is located when excavation starts, an intermediate excavation position where the control point is located during excavation, and an excavation end position where the control point is located when excavation ends, and a target posture, which is a target posture of the work tool when the control point moves along the target trajectory, and the control device controls a control valve such that the control point moves along the target trajectory and such that the posture of the work tool matches the target posture while the control point moves along the target trajectory.
