The present invention provides a working method for a multi-function ball kicking machine. The multi-function ball kicking machine comprises a rack, a ball kicking mechanism and a ball receiving mechanism. The ball kicking mechanism is provided at one end of the rack, and the ball receiving mechanism is provided at the other end of the rack; under the action of a ball blocking piece, a ball may be blocked within a ball storage accommodating space; when the ball needs to be released, a ball blocking driving device drives the ball blocking piece to be far from a ball outlet; the opening of the ball outlet is achieved, and the ball may be released from the ball storage accommodating space; an inclined ball outlet inclined plate is provided; the release direction of the ball has directivity; and a first ball kicking driving device, a second ball kicking driving device and a ball kicking device are provided to act. As such, a ball kicking action can only be achieved by matching the two driving devices; the control effect is good, and safety is good; meanwhile, when the ball kicking piece kicks a ball, the second ball kicking driving device does not make contact with the ball kicking device, as such wear and tear will not occur on the ball kicking driving mechanism during ball kicking, and the service life is long.
