Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a woven fabric which is for airbags for protecting an occupant in an automobile or the like and which has excellent flexibility, excellent tear strength, and excellent tear elongation. The solution therefor is to provide a woven fabric for airbags, which contains a polyester multifilament wherein the total fineness of the polyester multifilament is set in the range of 140-580 dtex, the number of the filaments is set in the range of 96-192, the difference in total fineness between warp yarns and weft yarns constituting the woven fabric is set to 5 dtex or less, and the weave density of the warp yarns is set lower than the weave density of the weft yarns.
