Abstract:
Provided are a zoom lens and an image-capturing device having the same. The zoom lens is reduced in size and weight with various types of aberrations corrected while having a sufficiently wide angle of view. The zoom lens includes a front group having negative refractive power, and a rear group including an aperture stop and having positive refractive power. The front group includes a first lens having negative refractive power, and the first lens is a meniscus-shaped lens with a convex surface oriented toward an object side. The rear group has a first lens unit and a second lens unit, and the separation between the front group and the rear group is changed when power is varied from a wide-angle end to a telephoto end.
