Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load support member for a chair which can give soft sitting feeling to a seated person while suppressing a load acting on an upholstery material, and a chair.SOLUTION: A load support member for a chair includes a support member 22, an upholstery material 23 which is stretched on the support member 22 and constitutes a support surface for a seating load, and a base member for supporting the support member 22 from a side opposite from the side where the seating load is input. The support member 22 includes a pair of support walls 26 which protrude in a direction opposing to the side where the seating load is input, are arranged to be separated in parallel to each other, and are configured that the upholstery material 23 is stretched between tip end surfaces in the protruding direction and a connecting wall 27 which connects sites separated on the side opposite from the side where the seating load is input from the tip end surfaces of the pair of the support walls 26 and is supported by the base member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
