Title:
AEROBIC NITRIFYING AND DENITRIFYING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3444560
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To completely remove nitrogen from night soil as the contaminant source and other waste waters and to prevent the eutrophication of a city water source by treating sewage and/or sludge successively in the hydrogen fermentation stage, aerobic nitrifying and denitrifying stage and hydrogen- reduction stage.
CONSTITUTION: Sewage and/or sludge 1 are successively treated by aerobic nitrifying and denitrifying processes. In this case, hydrogen is formed by hydrogen producing bacteria in a hydrogen fermentation stage 2, and a reducing sulfide is formed by sulfate reducing bacteria. A fermentation-digested soln. 3 or the fermentation-digested soln. 3 into which a waste washing water 10 generated by washing 9 a gas 8 with water is introduced and contg. a reducing sulfide is completely nitrified under aerobic conditions by heterotrophic sulfur bacteria in the aerobic nitrifying and denitrifying stage 4, and the formed nitrate nitrogen is removed. A gas 11 after washing is introduced into a denitrified water 7 in a hydrogen-reduction stage 5 to completely denitrifying the nitrogen compds.
