Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer capable of reducing a time required for the movement of a dispensing probe.SOLUTION: The automatic analyzer includes: a sample dispensing probe 16 for absorbing a sample inside a sample container 17; a first detection device 16a for detecting a liquid level inside the sample container 17 in a non-contact manner; a second detection device 16b for detecting the liquid level detected by the first detection device 16a by contact of the liquid level and the sample dispensing probe 16; and an analysis control part 27 for controlling operations of the sample dispensing probe 16. The analysis control part 27 moves the sample dispensing probe 16 downward at a first speed V1 from a reference position H0 to a first position H11 which is upper than the liquid level detected by the first detection device 16a, and then moves the sample dispensing probe 16 downward at a second speed V2 to a second position H12 detected by the second detection device 16b.
