Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the inexpensive and high-security card-like recording medi um by providing a magnetic recording part for recording data required for a transaction by a card and a polarizing board for discriminating the authentic ity of the card.
CONSTITUTION: At one part of the rear of a card 6, magnetic stripes 7 are layered for writing or reading data and at a through hole for the card 6, an analyzer 8 composed of a polarizing film or the like is embedded with a specified polarizing plane. On the analyzer 8 of the card 6 to be conveyed to a CRWP 9, laser beam irradiating means 10 and 11 are arranged to irradiate respective prescribed positions with linear polarized laser beam A and B of different polarizing planes, and detectors A12 and B13 are arranged at respective confronting positions so as to photodetect the respective laser beam A and B. Therefore, since an analyzed angle θ1 to the laser beam A and an analyzed angle θ2 to the laser beam B are different from each other, mutually different specified outputs are provided from the detectors A and B.
