To provide a checkout device capable of preventing an unauthorized operation.SOLUTION: A checkout device of an embodiment includes: a first mounting part on which a commodity is to be mounted; a reading unit that reads commodity identification information that identifies the commodity mounted on the first mounting part; a second mounting part on which the commodity from which the commodity identification information has been read by the reading unit is to be mounted; a display; and display means that causes the display to display an image showing the whole or part of a movement of the commodity mounted on the first mounting part imaged by an image capturing unit to the second mounting part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
