Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical heat storage device including an adsorber which can desorb a required amount of reaction medium to obtain a desired heat value while being downsized.SOLUTION: A chemical heat storage device 10 includes a reactor 11 arranged around an oxidation catalyst 4, and including a reactive material for chemically reacting with NHto generate heat and for desorbing the NHwhen subjected to exhaust heat, and an adsorber 13 connected to the reactor 11, and including an adsorbent which can hold the NHwith physical adsorption and desorb it. As the adsorbent, active charcoal or the like is used. The adsorber 13 includes the adsorbent having such pore sizes that the rate of a change in the adsorption amount of the NHis the highest in a working pressure region corresponding to the heating temperature of the reactive material. Thus, the adsorbing material is formed so that the rate of the change in the adsorption amount of the NHin the working pressure region is higher than the rate of a change of the NHin a pressure region lower than the working pressure region.
