Abstract:
To effectively avoid insufficient cleaning properties due to the status of residual toner.
A cleaning apparatus cleans a residual toner T on a belt member 1, and has a rotatable cleaning roller 2 for electrically adsorbing the residual toner T. The belt member 1 is disposed along and contacts the curved part of a circumference of the cleaning roll 2. Or the cleaning apparatus has a plurality of the cleaning rolls 2. A cleaning electric field 3a, capable of adsorbing residual toner T(-) whose polarity is different from that of another cleaning roll 2b, acts on at least one cleaning roller 2a.
