Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the variation of finishing thickness and to stably executing a cold tandem rolling by raising the lubricating state only at the time of changing shift position when the lubricating state become worse.
SOLUTION: In order to increase the supply of a rolling oil 5 when a pair of upper and lower work rolls 1 are shifted to the axial direction during rolling a metal sheet 4, a pressure regulating valve 6 is installed on the way of a rolling oil supplying piping 7. The rolling oil 5 is supplied from a coolant tank 8 with a coolant pump 9 and from a coolant header 10 through the pressure regulating valve 6. In the regular rolling time without shifting the work roll during rolling, the pressure regulating valve 6 is throttled and the rolling oil 5 is supplied, however when shifting the work roll, the pressure regulating valve 6 is opened and the supplying amount of the rolling oil is increased. Therefore, even during shifting the work roll, the lubricating state is maintained well, and the finishing thickness of the metal sheet is prevented from varying.
