Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a soft cotton woven fabric having resilience and excellent handle by modifying cross section of a cotton monofilament constituting a cotton woven fabric and improving physical properties of A woven fabric.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a fiber is treated with a liquid ammonia or primary amines so as to uniformly permeate the liquid into the inside of cotton fiber to afford a fiber in which the ratio of short axis/long axis in cross section of cotton monofilament was modified to 0.7-0.8. The modified fiber is included in a woven fabric to provide the soft objective cotton woven fabric having resilience and excellent handle. The woven fabric is suitable for clothing such as dress shirts and blouses.
