Abstract:

To find out a microorganism capable of degrading a polylactic acid and to provide a method for carrying out the degradation treatment of the polylactic acid by using the microorganism in order to safely and rapidly carry out the microbial degradation of the polylactic acid.

A microorganism having the ability to degrade silk such as a new strain KT-S-9 deposited as Actinomycete species KT-S-9 strain (FERM P-16463) is used to carry out the degradation treatment of a composition containing a polylactic acid such as a paper diaper.
