Title:
ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOW METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3854420
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic flow meter in which the eddy current noise can be suppressed and the measuring response can be raised.
SOLUTION: A detection tube 1 has a pair of electrodes 3a, 3b facing each other, and electomagnetic coils 4a, 4b are provided facing crosswise to the electrodes 3a, 3b and excited by an exciter circuit 5. This circuit 5 comprises a switching circuit 6 for switching the polarity of a voltage for exciting the electromagnetic coils 4a, 4b, a constant-current circuit 7 for stabilizing the exciting current and a voltage monitor circuit 33 for monitoring a voltage generated across a reference resistance 13 of the constant-current circuit 7. The monitor circuit 33 switched the exciting voltage to a high voltage to increase the exciting current every switching the exciting polarity, and, when the voltage across the reference resistance 13 reaches a set value, the circuit 33 switched the exciting voltage to a usual value. With the exciting current held constant by the action of the constant-current circuit 7, the measurement is executed.
