Title:
FLOW RATE DETECTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3383700
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent malfunction resulting from blinding, and to accurately detect a small flow rate of fluid flow by providing a passage frame which crosses a flow passage and has a passage opening in a central part, and rotatably holding a flap having a permanent magnet on its downstream side, and detecting the rotation of the flap through a reed switch.
CONSTITUTION: When water flows in a flow passage 6, the water passes through the passage opening 16 of a passage frame 15 and pushes the central part of the flap 22 to rotate the flap 22 from an attitude along the passage 15 to about horizontal attitude. A permanent magnet 29, therefore, approaches a reed switch 21 to detect the increase of flow rate. In addition, when the flow rate lowers, the reed switch 21 turns into nonfunctioning state and detects the lowering of flow rate. In this case, since the central part of the flap 22 is pushed by the water flow passing through the passage opening 16, even in the case where the flow rate is relatively small, the flap 22 is rotated to about horizontal attitude, and can accurately detect even a small flow rate, and from the viewpoint of structure, the possibility of the occurrence of bad rotation caused by blinding hardly exists.
