Title:
HIGH PERMEABILITY ALLOY THIN STRIP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5867849
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a high permeability alloy thin strip in an extremely easy manner such as machine punching by employing a molten metal rapid cooling method, by adding Cu and P in a proper amount to an Fe-Si-Al high permeability alloy.

CONSTITUTION: An alloy consisting of, on the wt. basis, 4W12% Si, 2W9% Al, 0.05W1% Cu and/or 0.01W0.5% P and the remainder of substantially Fe is melted under heating and the molten alloy is injected onto and solidified on the surface of a rapidly moving cooling body to obtain a thin strip. The resulting thin strip is excellent in bending property (tenacity) as compared to a conventional Fe-Si-Al alloy while a wide thin strip is easily obtained from said alloy. In this case, when the amount of Cu or P is below the lower limit, adding effect is not developed remarkably and, when above the upper limit, magnetic characteristics are deteriorated to a large extent.
