Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reliably hold an object to be held which is easy to deform by providing a plurality of holding pins which make contact with the object to be held and are deformed in a shape conforming to the outer shape of the object and a containing means to regulate each holding pin to a deformed state.
CONSTITUTION: Through expansion of the rod 21a of a hydraulic cylinder 21, finger parts 4 and 5 mounted on a slide unit 3 are moved to both sides. In which case, the guide 7 of each of the fingers parts 4 and 5 is brought into contact with an initialized plate 20 and a sleeve pin 13 is protruded. In which case, when, after an object 22 to be held is positioned between the finger parts 4 and 5, the rod 21a is contracted, the finger parts 4 and 5 are moved in a direction in which the finger parts approach each other and the sleeve pin 13 is brought into contact with the side of the object 22 to be held and simultaneously deformed into a shape conforming to the shape of an uneven surface. When a pneumatic rotary actuator 16 is driven, a steel belt 16 is wound by a rotary body 17, whereby a steel belt 18 is brought into pressure contact with the sleeve pin 13 to regulate movement thereof. Thereafter, a so formed holding device is conveyed.
