Abstract:
To allow a user, in designating a partial area of an image, to easily and accurately set an area (erasure area) that the user desires to erase an image and an area (storage area) that the user desires to keep an image.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus comprises: an analysis unit 105 that acquires layout information on a document image; a display control unit 101 that displays, on a display unit 473, the document image as an image picture; an area receiving unit 103 that receives a user's designation of an area that the user desires to erase an image on the image picture displayed on the display unit 473; a setting unit 106 that, based on a user designated area received by the area receiving unit 103 and the layout information acquired by the analysis unit 105, sets an arrangement area overlapped with the user designated area as an erasure area; and a control unit 100 that erases an image present in the erasure area set by the setting unit 106.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
