Title:
INSPECTION ROBOT SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02219110
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To determine the distance between single-function robots so as not to collide to each other by performing closed loop control and reducing the speed of a moving mechanism part or stopping it when the signal from a collision prevention sensor exceeds a threshold value. CONSTITUTION:A track is provided with a rack so that visual inspection robots 12a and 12b run on the track. The collision prevention track 25 is provided with a transmitting and receiving function for light, which is emitted forward at all times and detected after being reflected. When this reflected light exceeds the preset threshold value, an abnormal approach signal is fed back to the control circuit of an electric circuit part 24 to reduce the speed of the traveling mechanism part 21 or stop it under the closed loop control, thereby preventing the visual inspection robots 12a and 12b from colliding against each other. Therefore, the system is easily extended and a controlled variable regarding the collision prevention is reduced. Consequently, the collision between the single-function robots can be evaded.
