Title:
KNOCK DETERMINATION DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3412350
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reconcile responsiveness and stability of a background value by obtaining a difference between an output signal of a knock sensor and a background value obtained in the previous processing at every ignition, and varying a moderating control coefficient according to the difference at the time of moderation controlling a knock sensor signal at every ignition to obtain a background value.
SOLUTION: A cylinder block 24 of an engine 11 is provided with a knock sensor 51 and a water temperature sensor 25, and the output signals of the sensors are input with output signals of an air flow sensor 15, an O2 sensor 18, a throttle sensor 18 and the like to an ECU 31. The output signal of the knock sensor 51 is moderation controlled at every ignition to obtain a background value, and a knock determination level is obtained with reference to the value to determine knocking. Further, at this time, a difference between a knock sensor signal and the background value obtained in the previous processing is obtained by moderating control at every ignition, and as the difference increases, the moderating control coefficient is decreased to enlarge the rate of up-to-date knock sensor signal.
