PURPOSE: To improve the service for passengers who change lines of commuter trains travelling in the suburbs without announcement of arrival time.

CONSTITUTION: A line guide display device has a line guide display unit 1 for displaying business blocks of trains, a setting unit 2 for setting the data to be required for the line guide display and for transmitting that data, and a converting unit 3 for converting the transmitted data to the signal and for transferring that signal to a line change display unit 1. Arrival time at each station of a travelling line is computed on the basis of a previously measured time till doors are opened between each station where the train stops and amount of the time from the time when the doors are opened at the last station in a block where the train travels really, and the required time to each station is displayed by the line guide display unit 1 at each time, and the required time between each station is measured.
