PURPOSE: To prevent the correction of phase and level of chroma signal based on the VIR signal in error in the receiver, by providing the slice circuit rejecting the VIR signal in the reproduction signal and its OFF-switch with the reproduction system.
CONSTITUTION: The FM reproduction luminance signal Y-FM is demodulated 3 via the 1H delay line 2 and fed to the substractor 5. Further, the signal Y-FM is demodulated 6 and then fed to the subtractor 5. The noise component only not related to the luminance signal is picked up at the subtractor 5 and fed to the subtractor 9 via the limiter 8, the original luminance signal is fed to the subtractor 9 from the LPF7 and the luminance signal rejecting the noise component is obtained at the output of the subtractor 9. This output is attenuated 11 for high region and fed to the VIR slicer 13 via the noise rejector 12. Further, at the reproduction of RCM, the function rejecting the VIR signal from the reproduction signal is disable by turning on the switch 15 and the output of the slicer 13 is led to outside.
