Abstract:
To provide a rice grain transport device such as a transport screw used in a rice milling machine, a conveyance chute used in a classifier, and so on, which has a long-term rice bran adhesion prevention effect.SOLUTION: A rice grain transport device has an iron base material which is a base material of a rice grain transport device and in which graphite is dispersed, and an iron-nitrogen compound layer which covers a surface of the iron base material and constitutes a transport face of the rice grain transport device. In the iron-nitrogen compound layer, a protrusion of which a tip is opened is formed on the graphite which is exposed to the surface of the iron base material and projects from the surface of the iron base material, and the graphite is exposed in the interior of such an opening. In this rice grain transport device, it is preferable that the iron base material contains one or more elements selected from Si, Cr, Mo, V, Al or Ti, and plural fine protrusions comprising nitride of said elements are formed on the surface of the iron-nitrogen compound layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
