Abstract:
To provide a medium processing device for imparting a liquid to media and then crimp binding the media which levels a liquid imparting amount in a binding region.SOLUTION: A medium processing device includes liquid imparting means for bringing a liquid imparting member containing a liquid into contact with a liquid imparting region of media, and imparting the liquid thereto, and crimping means for pressurizing and deforming a binding region to which the liquid is imparted by the liquid imparting means and that overlaps the liquid imparting regions of the plurality of media, and crimping the crimping region, wherein when the liquid imparting means separates the liquid imparting member from the media, time during which the liquid imparting member is brought into contact with a non-binding region that does not overlap the binding region is longer than time during which the liquid imparting member is brought into contact with the binding region in the liquid imparting region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
